Bugger!

2006

“Hello Ingrid, this job you applied for, when can you start ?”
“Uhm well I am in Denmark this week, but will be back in London next Tuesday. I can start on Wednesday”

“Oh, that’s a pity ! I need someone from this week. But call me when you are back in London.”
Grrrrrrrrrrrrr …
“I will !”

Bugger ! This was very close. It was just an admin job, but I take any job I can get for start. So the hunt continues …

While most of my applications still seem to disappear in cyberspace, I get a bit more response now. Some people actually write back, asking for more information.

It probably has to do with the fact that I now have an English address and also have a UK phonenumber in my CV. And that I again have tuned my CV, where I now have included links to my Photo Gallery, The Girl cards and the Bill Nighy site.
I left it out at first, but people might as well get used to the fact that I have some things I am passionate about. It’s so much a part of me and a part of the deal, if they decide to hire me. And they can see that I can be creative in some kind of weirdish way.

I didn’t get the dream room I was looking at on Saturday. They picked a guy in stead. Well what can I say, I can understand them. But I got a very good contact to a landlord, and I will follow up on that for sure.

And while listening to Capital Radio as we speak, I just heard a commercial from Vodafone with the aural equivalent of eating dark chocolate truffles dipped in whipped cream voice. It must be a sign, I can feel it. And maybe I should change to Vodafone, they obviously have excellent taste there.
