Aw, come on. You’re on stage in front of a bunch of people, and on TV in front of loads more. You’re asked to explain deficiencies in America’s education something, something you likely know nothing about (I know I don’t). You’re nervous. And you know that loads of people are ready to gleefully proclaim you a bimbo at the first opportunity.
You choke. No big thing.
What did she basically say? She said if Americans can’t find America on a map, it’s because the American education system didn’t teach them to, and it should.
Good answer, just mangled in the delivery, something us ugly folks do just as much as the beautiful.

There’s been a huge amount of attention in the US media after this happened. She got to go to all these talkshows and explain herself. I never saw the footage I only read all the comments, but I never expected it to be that bad.
